This fine circa 1910 demi-lune side cabinet showcases outstanding Chinoiserie decoration and early 20th-century craftsmanship. The maker richly decorates every panel, including the top surface, with vibrant hand-painted scenes finished in fine gilt detailing, strong colour, and exceptional depth. The cabinet depicts traditional Asian life scenes, enhanced with raised plaster relief, delicately gilt-painted figures, and beautifully patterned frieze panels that frame each surface. These layered decorative techniques create a striking visual presence and confirm the quality of the work.
Of generous proportions, this antique Chinoiserie cabinet features a central door opening to a cupboard fitted with a single interior shelf, offering practical storage. Four gilt-decorated cabriole legs support the cabinet and terminate in well-carved ball-and-claw feet, completing the elegant silhouette. Ideal as a hall cabinet, side cabinet, or statement accent piece, this circa-1910 Chinoiserie demi-lune cabinet adds colour, history, and refined character to both traditional and eclectic interiors.
